The problematic areas are muscle areas suffering from tension, resulting in muscle pain/tenderness and limiting full range of use.

Dry Needling

Picture
Dry needling is used to treat chronic and/or acute musculoskeletal conditions. The goal is to significantly reduce muscle pain and dysfunction.

How does dry needling work?

Total Body Fusion’s Chiropractor uses dry needling therapy to complement chiropractic and ART treatments in relieving tension and targeting trigger points in muscles. A solid ultra thin filiform needle is inserted into problematic muscles and tissues to alleviate muscle pain. The problematic areas are muscle areas suffering from tension, resulting in muscle pain/tenderness and limiting full range of use.

How can Dry Needling help?

The benefits of dry needling include:
  • Reduced muscle pain
  • Improved muscle strength and length
  • Improved muscle range of use
  • Improved sleep and relaxation

Virtually anyone can enjoy the benefits of dry needling. It’s a technique our chiropractor in Brisbane uses to obtain optimal results from our combined chiropractic/ART treatments. We recommend dry needling as part of our Brisbane chiropractic program for sporting clients and athletes, as well as those seeking to relieve pain and feel rejuvenated.

Although it is possible for clients to undergo a treatment purely consisting of dry needling therapy, we recommend that it is used in conjunction with a chiropractic/ART treatment by our practitioner for maximum results.
Does Dry Needling Hurt?

The filiform needles used for dry needling, like acupuncture, are ultra thin and solid. In the hands of our expert chiropractor, clients should not feel any significant level of pain. At most, clients may feel a tingling sensation and heaviness after the needles are inserted into the skin. This is completely normal and is actually seen by clinicians as an encouraging sign.
